Black 14 dikenang sebagai peristiwa hitam negara yang dikenang saban tahun tetapi 14 April 2008 ia bakal disambut dengan berbeza sekali kerana 14 April 2008 bukan lagi gelita. April 14 2008 will promise something worth waiting for. For Anwar Ibrahim, April 14 is the date he will be free from the court order restriction that prevented him from being active in politics for five years and he has Mahathir to thank for that.. for sure. Celebrated as Black 14 by hardcore PKR members since 2003, this coming April 14 will be celebrated big time by PKR. A huge gathering has been planned at Kelab Sultan Sulaiman in Kampung Baru where Anwar will be speaking as a 'free' man for the first time since his sentencing in 2003. Pak Lah, Najib and even Mahathir will see for real if Anwar is indeed not relevant anymore. My gut feeling is that, the trio will be very jealous when they see tens of thousands of people flooding Kampung Baru voluntarily. Read more here at HarakahDaily.
In another development, April 14 will also see for the first time, yet another tens of thousands of people at Perak Stadium. Who are the celebrities? For the first time in Perak history, or even Malaysia, five (5) opposition parties (now known as Pakatan Rakyat) Chief Ministers from Penang, Kedah, Perak, Kelantan and Selangor will join forces to deliver their speeches to the tens of thousands of Perakian expected to attend the never-thought-of political rally.
